UK Hospital at Home Society Elections
The UK Hospital at Home Society is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for new positions on the Society committee. These are all elected positions and the successful candidates will be announced at the AGM in March 2025.
The positions that are open for nominations are:
All current members who fulfill the following eligibility criteria are eligible to stand for election to any of these posts:
All nominations must also be seconded by another member of the Society (Not a current committee member) and candidates are requested to provide a short supporting statement explaining why they believe themselves to be a good candidate for the role.
Requirements and terms
All committee members are expected to attend monthly committee meetings and contribute to the running and development of the UK Hospital at Home Society, as well as contributing to relevant Special Interest Groups as appropriate. See below for a document containing expected roles and responsibilities
All roles have a three year term, with the exception of the Presidential roles, which are as follows:
President Elect (2 years), following which they move into the role of President (2 years) and then into the role of Immediate Past President (2 years).
Elections
Following submission of applications, if more than one application is received for a Director position (President Elect, Treasurer or Secretary), or more applications than the number of advertised positions are received for the general Council Member positions, an election will be held for that role. All members are eligible and encouraged to vote in such elections, and results will be announced at our next AGM.
Where only one application is received for a given position, appointment of the applicant to the role will be subject to being ratified during the AGM in March 2025.
In order to put yourself forward for election, please download the appropriate form below and return the completed form to admin@hospitalathome.org.uk by Friday 31st January 2025.
If you are completing and returning the form electronically, please ensure that it is returned as a pdf, not as a word document, as it will not be delivered correctly in word format. Alternatively, if you would prefer to print and scan your form in order to sign it, this is acceptable too.
All members of the MDT are encouraged to consider applying for a role, and we particularly welcome applications to the general Council Member roles from members working in Northern Ireland and Wales, due to the work locations of those committee members who are stepping down.
If you have any queries, please contact us at admin@hospitalathome.org.uk
We look forward to working with you in future!
