Sarah is a registered nurse and has worked in the NHS for 20 years. She trained in Nottingham and holds a Masters in Clinical Research from Imperial College. Her clinical background is Emergency Medicine and she has held a wide range of leadership roles, primarily in Emergency, Acute and Specialist Medicine, and digital health. She is also one of the joint clinical leads for the NHSE London region Virtual Ward programme.
Sarah took up post as the first Lead Nurse for the North West London Virtual Hospital in October 2022. The service is commissioned by the NWL ICB which covers a diverse population of 2.4 million. The NWLVH provides a centralised remote monitoring service for patients on many different clinical pathways across the sector, working closely with 4 acute trusts as well as a variety of community partners. Sarah’s role encompasses the strategic, operational and clinical aspects of the service. She is particularly committed to improving patient and public involvement, flexible employment opportunities/new ways of working and good clinical governance.
