Dr Mathew Mathai has been a Consultant Paediatrician at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2008. He has a special interest in children’s ambulatory care, hospital at home and enhanced nursing skills training. Mathew has a passion to deliver the ‘Happy, Healthy and Home’ shared vision of the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership and believes that successful integrated care is only achievable with strong relationships across disciplines, teams and systems. He believes that a virtual ward is not a destination but an important step to better system integration and quality of care for children, young people, families and communities. The work is challenging but is a lot of fun, and there are many golden opportunities along the way.
