Christina is a Registered Children’s Nurse with over 23 years nursing experience. She has worked extensively in paediatric infectious diseases and spent 9 years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric HIV. Christina has worked in the Community Children’s Nursing Team in Oxfordshire for 6 years and is the Matron for Children’s Hospital at Home and Acute side of the Service. Christina has strived towards ensuring the Oxfordshire Children’s Hospital at Home service is as safe and effective as possible. By creating clear clinical pathways and SOPS collaboratively with the team and embedding them, Christina has then regularly reviewed incidents with the team and ensured that the correct governance is in place. Christina has recently published a service evaluation, highlighting the importance and benefits of a Children’s Hospital at Home service. Christina has worked collaboratively with the Acute Paediatric Team at Oxford University Hospitals, as both Trusts work together to deliver the Children’s Hospital at Home service to children in Oxfordshire. Christina is passionate about upskilling nurses to deliver novel pathways and push the boundaries in Children’s Hospital at Home services.
